How do you download an exchange statement a UAE bank will accept?
Use the platform's own statement or report export, a PDF or CSV showing your UID and the period, never screenshots. As of October 2026, Binance, Bybit and OKX each need more than one export to cover the deposits that funded the coins, the trades, and the withdrawal to the desk or wallet.
KEY FACTS
| Accepted evidence | Official PDF or CSV export from the platform, not a screenshot |
|---|---|
| Must cover | Funding deposits, trades, and the withdrawal to the desk or wallet |
| Name in the file | Binance: UID only. Bybit: UID, with an optional legal-name box. OKX: not stated on the help page |
| Password-protected PDF | Binance: eight-digit password. Bybit: numeric password set when sending. OKX: not stated |

Which exports does a UAE bank need from an exchange?
A UAE bank needs three records from an exchange: the deposits that funded the coins, the trades that converted them, and the withdrawal that sent them to the desk or wallet. No single export covers all three on every platform, so you assemble a set of official files, each showing the same UID and period.
This page covers how to produce those files. The file structure and the bank's questions are in the source-of-funds file guide, and the broader evidence set is not repeated here.
How do you export the statement on Binance, Bybit and OKX?
Each platform exposes its exports under a different menu, and the labels differ by region. The three tables below record what the platforms' own help pages state as of October 2026. Where a page is silent, the row says so, and you should read the export screen itself.
Binance
Binance splits the job in two. The Account Statement is a balance snapshot, and the movement history comes from the transaction and trade exports.
| Item | What the help page says |
|---|---|
| Menu path | Balance snapshot: Wallet, then Account Statement (website only). Movements: Asset History, then Export Transaction Records. Trades: Trade History export, or in the app Assets, History, My Trades, Order History |
| Formats | Account Statement: PDF, also sent to email or saved as JPEG. Transaction exports: the format is chosen on the export screen and the help page does not name it |
| History depth | Account Statement: up to one year from today, older through the VIP Portal Report Center. Transaction records: a preset for the last 6 months, custom range for older |
| Name in the file | The Account Statement shows a user ID, not a name |
| Password-protected PDF | Yes, an eight-digit password; the download link stays open for seven days |
Binance's Account Statement shows balances on a date, so it supports the story but cannot replace the transaction export. Monthly quotas apply to exports; the export screen shows yours.
Bybit
Bybit puts all three data types in one Data Export area, which makes it the simplest to assemble, with the limit that the tool is a website feature.
| Item | What the help page says |
|---|---|
| Menu path | Assets, then Funding Account, then History, then Data Export. Not available in the app |
| Formats | Transaction Log and Order History: CSV. Account Statement: PDF. You cannot change the format |
| History depth | One export file covers at most one year; longer periods need one export per year. Today's data appears the next day, in UTC+0 |
| Name in the file | UID by default; a Legal Name option adds your verified name (the business name on business accounts) |
| Password-protected PDF | You set a numeric password when sending the statement from Data Export; the link is valid for seven days |
Tick the Legal Name option before you generate the statement. The Account Statement takes about one working day, the CSV logs one to three days.
OKX
OKX separates the downloads by record type, and its regional help pages differ on limits, so read the date picker for your region.
| Item | What the help page says |
|---|---|
| Menu path | Statement: My assets, then Account statement, then Download, pick a date, Generate. Trades: Assets, Order center, Trading history, Download. Deposits and withdrawals: Export on the Deposit or Withdrawal page |
| Formats | Trading history on the web: CSV or PDF. The statement's format is not stated on the help page |
| History depth | Date statements: past two years on the web, past 12 months in the app. Trading history is downloadable from early 2021. The in-app view shows up to 90 days |
| Name in the file | Not stated. Deposit and withdrawal exports include the UID, and the account-information statement can include registered email, address and UID |
| Password-protected PDF | Not stated on the help pages. Check the download screen |
A copied web download link expires one hour after copying, so save the file locally instead of sharing the link.
What does the bank read in the file?
A UAE bank reads an exchange statement for four things: whose account it is, which period it covers, whether the amounts add up to the credit on its side, and whether the file is untouched. It compares these with the payer name and the amount on the incoming transfer, so each item should be visible without explanation.
- Identity: UID, and your name where the platform prints it. If it does not, the cover note links the UID to your verified account.
- Period: dates that start before the first funding deposit and end after the last withdrawal.
- Flow: deposits in, trades, withdrawal out, with amounts, coins and timestamps.
- Integrity: the original PDF or CSV as generated, with the platform's own filename.
How do you tie the statement to the desk's trade confirmation and the on-chain hash?
You tie the three records by matching the same amount, coin, network and time across them. The exchange withdrawal row, the desk's trade confirmation and the blockchain transaction should agree line by line, and the hash is the link between the first two.
- STEP 1
Find the withdrawal row
In the exchange export, copy the withdrawal amount, coin, network, destination address and transaction hash.
- STEP 2
Match the trade confirmation
The desk's confirmation shows the agreed amount, price and receiving address. The address and amount must equal the withdrawal row, less any network fee.
- STEP 3
Check the hash and clock
Look the hash up on the network's block explorer and confirm sender, receiver and amount. Bybit exports use UTC+0 and OKX records use UTC, while UAE bank documents use local time, so state the time zone in your cover note.
- STEP 4
Add the bank leg
Finish with the bank credit that followed the trade, paid to an account in your own name.

What are the common reasons a bank rejects an exchange statement?
Banks reject exchange statements for a short list of repeatable defects, and each one has a direct fix.
- Wrong period. The file starts after the deposit that bought the coins, or ends before the withdrawal. Re-export a wider range; mind the one-year file cap on Bybit and the six-month preset on Binance.
- No name. The file shows only a UID. Use Bybit's Legal Name option where offered, and add a signed cover note that ties the UID to your verified account.
- Edited CSV. Sorting, deleting columns or re-saving in a spreadsheet changes the file. Send the CSV as downloaded, and keep a working copy separately.
- Screenshot or snapshot only. Binance's Account Statement shows balances, not movements, so it needs the transaction export beside it.
- Locked or expired file. Password lost or link past seven days. Regenerate it.
Illustrative example
This is a constructed example, not a client case. A seller bought 250,000 USDT on an exchange over three deposits between January and March 2026 and withdrew it to a desk on 14 October 2026. The set would be: a deposit export from 1 January to 14 October 2026, a trade export for the same range, a withdrawal row with the hash, the desk's trade confirmation naming the same hash, and the bank credit. The same 250,000 USDT, the same address and the same hash appear in every file.
FAQ
Is a screenshot of my exchange balance enough for a UAE bank?
No. A screenshot can be edited and carries no UID, period or generation record. Use the platform's own statement or report export, which the bank can compare with its other documents.
Why does my Binance account statement not show my trades?
As of October 2026 Binance describes the Account Statement as a balance snapshot for a selected date, showing a user ID. Deposits, trades and withdrawals come from the separate transaction and trade history exports.
What is the password on a Binance account statement PDF?
Binance's help page says the PDF export is encrypted with an eight-digit password that you set when you generate it. Keep it, and give it to the bank separately from the file.
Can I convert a CSV to PDF before sending it?
Send the CSV as downloaded. Converting or re-saving it changes the file and removes the platform's own generation record, and an edited CSV is a common reason for rejection.
How far back should the statement go?
It should start before the first deposit that funded the coins and end after the withdrawal to the desk or wallet. If the bank names a period, cover that period in full.
